Organized by the Steenburg Lake Community Association (SLCA).

Celebrate Canada Day in classic cottage style by turning your dock into a show of true patriot love! Participants will decorate their docks with red and white flair—think flags, lights, inflatables, maple leaf themes, and more. Boaters and paddlers can cruise around the lake to view the patriotic displays and vote for their favourite decorated dock.

How It Works:

1. Dock Registration:

   - Cottagers sign up by June 20 to be included on the official *Dock Hop Map*.

   - Register for this event here on the website or text/call  Selena at 905 441 3202. Once you are registered your dock receives a number which you can make up a sign for and place somewhere visible on your dock.

2. Decorating Rules:

   - Theme: Canadian pride! (Be creative—you can use lights, music, costumes, and interactive displays!)

   - All decorations should be up by 12:30 PM on Saturday June 28th, 2025

3. Tour & Vote:

   - all weekend, boaters tour the lake and admire the creativity and cheer on your neighbours. Get the Dock Hop Map with dock numbers and a Spotify playlist of Canadian hits to listen to while you cruise the lake. Link will be here when ready.

   - Voters submit their top 3 favourite docks via website or at the voters box at the boat launch.

-Dock Photo Contest: Snap pics of your dock and submit to our website for bonus prizes

4. Winners Announced:

   - the winners will be announced July 1st at the Ice cream Sundae event

-Floating Judges Panel: Sunday afternoon a panel of judges will cruise the lake to give points that will help determine the winners
